This qualification is approved in the 2017 & 2018 Key Stage 4 Performance Tables. 

This qualification is redeveloping the level 1 and 2 qualifications in this subject area into a combined Level 1/2 qualification for the 2020 performance tables to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of our centres as well as meeting the new DfE guidance

This qualification is suitable for learners aged pre-16 and above.

This qualification is designed for learners who want an introduction to business and enterprise that includes a vocational and hands-on element. It has been developed to enthuse and inspire learners about a career in business and enterprise. The qualification will appeal to learners who wish to either set up their own business, move into employment or progress onto further study. This qualification features on the DfE list of approved qualifications.


Level 1 Certificate in Business and Enterprise  Who is this qualification for?


Level 1 Certificates in Business and Enterprise are complementary Technical Awards and the vocational equivalent of GCSE qualifications. The qualification have been designed to sit alongside the requirements of core GCSE subjects. They are appropriate for learners who are motivated and challenged by learning through hands-on experiences and through content which is concrete and related directly to those experiences. This Level 1 qualification is appropriate for learners looking for an introduction to the skills, knowledge and qualities needed in business or enterprise.
